The Nintendo Switch 2 is finally here — and Minecraft might finally run the way it should have years ago. The original Switch was known for its laggy, frustrating Minecraft experience... but is the Switch 2 the fix we've been waiting for?
The Console has made its debut on June 5th a huge deal for Nintendo Fans. The console has some new improvements such as bigger screen, Mouse Controls with the Joycons, 4k support when docked, and more storage and performance Improvements and more improving the player’s experience with the console.
In a video featuring Nvidia’s CEO Jensen Huang he discusses about the switch 2 and how Nvidia has helped to make the console’s Processor.
He says the Console now has HDR, Ray Tracing, and AI capabilities which is huge for the switch and could be a big deal for Minecraft. So the new Graphics capabilities will be perfect for the game’s Upcoming Vibrant Visuals feature expected to come later this month but even has the capability to do ray tracing so this is exciting. Although Players can’t download any ray tracing packs off the marketplace which is a huge letdown but may be for the best since it could affect the game’s performance of doing such a huge task.
Although the CPU of the console is questionable on how well it will process those graphic engines but i wouldn’t expect a huge difference of performance with Minecraft on the switch 2. Maybe slightly better but from what i have seen from a few creators it still seems quite the same.
I do wonder If Mojang will support Mouse Controls with the game. Someone has tested it but currently does not work. this could be huge for people who may want to play Minecraft like a PC. So we will see on what Mojang decides.
