Hey Everyone, as expected last week hive finally spoke up and made there statement but isn’t the one we want to hear. here’s why.
So on Tuesday hive not only made a statement on what’s going on with the murder mystery update but announced that Bedwars Season 3 is coming this Friday August 1st.
So Hive said this in regards to the murder mystery update with this announcement.
Update 22/07: We’re still working hard on the next Murder Mystery update and hope to have it released soon. Due to the popularity of BedWars, we’ve decided to prioritise BedWars: Season 3, giving us time to get the new Murder Mystery LTM just right. It’s suspiciously good!
I would say Bedwars is a good excuse to release Season 3 first but this is also showing hive’s true colors of not wanting to put more work in on a update that’s been worked on for about 6 months now. instead they work on an update that takes less time and resources to develop showing some laziness towards update development.
I would say if they need more time they definitely don’t want to just release nothing so Bedwars season 3 was there best bet but really we could have waited longer for Season 3 just to get the murder mystery update first.
They do say that they need more time to develop the LTM. So still no clue on whether the new modes are coming at launch or at a much later date.
I am hearing that we could see the update sometime in September with a possible release date of September 5th but don’t take my word for it.
Meanwhile thanks to the Bedwars Season 3 announcement we now know what the Bedwars season 3 ticket and has just been found and it’s description reveals some of the new unlock types in Season 3.

Based on this description it looks like we are getting flags and kill effects in Season 3 so this will be interesting. There may be some other new Unlock types but this is the only thing we know right now. It also looks like from the cover of the ticket the theme would be some sort of medieval and fantasy theme so interested on what sort of name they will call Season 3 on Friday.
